– (1) In accordance with clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 11, there shall be a selection committee as follows to make recommendations to the Government of Nepal for the purpose of nominating the Vice-President: –
(a) Vice-Chairman, National Planning Commission – Coordinator (b) The person designated by the Government of Nepal from among the experts related to the field of poverty alleviation - member
(c) Chief Secretary, Government of Nepal – Member
(2) When recommending names to the Government of Nepal for the nomination of the Vice-President, the selection committee as per sub-section (1) shall recommend the names of three persons.
(3) The Government of Nepal shall nominate one of the three persons recommended by the Selection Committee as per sub-section (2) for the position of Vice President.
(4) The selection committee can determine the procedure to be followed while choosing the name to recommend for the nomination of the vice president and the procedure for its meeting.
